Jul. 11, 2006 - Camping at Moab with Tammy and Brian

Description: Camping at Moab with Tammy and Brian

Moab is one of those places you have to visit if you make it out to the Desert Southwest. It is best known for its dark red sandstone formations, off road trails, and get-away-from-it-all camping, which is what we're doing here. Brian and Tammy are perhaps as hard core as we are, if not more. This is our last stop on a one week road trip through Bryce canyon, Moab, and Zion National Park. In this photo set, Brian found a very old piece of rough cut lumber in an abandoned mine and is determined to carry the nearly 100 lb. piece of wood down from the mine. The last we heard, he was going to use it as a mantle over his fire place. We drove through a lot of places along the ride that we need to go back and visit.
